Created in 2001 by Jayson "Arcubalis" Napolitano, Mephtik has always been a place for artists to freely express their musical ideas. In 2002, the site relaunched with a new art and writings section which allowed for even greater artistic expression by artists

The year 2008 marks a special year in Mephtik's history, with yet another relaunch. This time around, Mephtik Music is focused more on bringing quality music of all genres to listeners as well as featuring individual musicians from around the world.
